Napalm Cobras is a Metalpunk band founded in 2021 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, by Uander Trajano (ex-Drunk Demons and Evil Matchers) on vocals and bass, Luiz "Gringo" Bueno (ex-Evil Matchers, Crackodiles and Dead Goblins) on guitar and vocals, and Fred Souza (ex-Fake) on drums. The band delivers an intense, fast and direct sound, forged at the intersection of Metal and Punk, with lyrics that deal with indignation, restlessness and the urge to live dangerously.
In 2022, Lucas Chavo (Estática, Evil Idols) took over on drums, replacing Fred Souza. That same year, Napalm Cobras recorded their first EP, "Homens Brancos de Terno", at Estúdio Moai (Belo Horizonte), supervised by Fabricio Borges and Débora Coimbra. Mixing was handled by Felipe Sad, while mastering was done by Joona Lukala at the Noise for Fiction studio in Tuulissuo, Lieto, Finland. The result consolidated the weight and energy that became the band’s trademark. Still in December 2022, Napalm Cobras played its debut show at Casa Matriz, in Belo Horizonte, alongside Flying Cats.
In 2024, Napalm Cobras recorded and released its first live album during the Metalpunk Overkill festival, in Belo Horizonte, sharing the stage with the legendary American band Master. That same year, it embarked on its first tour outside Minas Gerais, passing through Curitiba (PR), and took part in Punk no Park alongside names like Dead Fish and Zander, at Galpão 54.
In 2025, the single "The Hog" got a music video in tribute to Brazilian rock legend Muzzarelas, recorded at Estúdio MOAI by Fabricio Borges and edited by Encontracena, premiering in June. Throughout the year, the band shared the stage with Witchhammer and appeared at Pixploitation Fest. It also performed at Cadeia Rock Fest, at Usina de Cultura (BH) — a free rock/metal/punk festival with a strong anti-fascist stance — and took part in the documentary by Coletivo Bloco 31, funded by the Aldir Blanc National Policy (PNAB), about the cultural identity of Contagem and the voices of the peripheries.
In 2026, Humberto "Beto" Monteiro took over on drums, replacing Lucas Chavo, and the journey kept its momentum. In February, the band played at Pixploitation Fest Vol. III at Trash Bar & Quengo Gastronomia (Contagem), alongside horror punk veterans Zumbis do Espaço and The Folsoms. In May, it shared the stage with the legendary English punk band The Varukers — back in Brazil after 28 years — alongside Manger Cadavre? (SP), Asfixia Social (SP) and Drastiko (BH), at Espaço Y (BH), in a Punk no Park edition with a solidarity ticket and proceeds donated to the soup kitchen of paper collectors. In June, it joined a new Punk no Park edition in Contagem, alongside the classic punk hardcore band Sociedade Armada, plus Sagrada Escritura do Gueto, Estado de Fúria and Efecto.
